Kind of sad. Sony users contributed very much. I tried to find more info but couldn't find much.
Official Sony Statement
With the termination of the services available through the Life with PlayStation(R) application, our support towards Folding@Home has concluded on November 6th, 2012.

Yeah, this isn't about Sony being dicks for once. They're axing something no one uses, and unfortunately, the PS3 Folding@home client runs through that thing no one uses.
